I survived a trip to Whole Foods with an overtired 3 year old, so I rewarded myself at their cafe with a fancy Mexican Mocha iced drink. It set me back about $4.50 but I enjoyed the treat and was intrigued by the spice + chocolate combo.
The next day I decided I should be able to make something similar with less sugar and for $0 (using what I had on hand). Thus was born my own version of a Mexican mocha as a hot drink. I’ll try an iced version as soon as the April weather no longer includes snow...

Just kidding! If it isn't fun, easy, and delicious, then what's the point? More and more families (including ours) are choosing a high fat/low carb & low sugar lifestyle for its numerous health and weight loss benefits.
